HILARIOUS images have captured two super cute baby baboons playfully pulling some serious shapes as they appear to challenge each other to a dance off.

The side-splitting series of pictures show how one baboon chases down his friend to take part in the dance duel before they hold each other in an embrace. Other shots show one baby flinging his arms in various directions whilst appearing to lose his balance before his friend runs away.

The funny pictures were taken at the Kruger National Park by Johan Barnard (51) from Cape Town, South Africa.

“My pictures show baby baboons playing and being naughty with each other,” said Johan.

“I love watching the interaction between the animals and to be able to totally switch off from the human world.

“You’ve got to have lots of patience and have to spend lots of time in the veld.”

Young baboons stay very close to their mothers when they are first born. It’s not until they are between four and six months that they start to interact with other young baboons.

“Photography started as a hobby and it still is a hobby,” said Johan.

“There were no problems with the shoot other than it being really hot in the vehicle and cramped in but we love it.”
