The tree house is open to nature to allow the guest to experience the wonder of the jungle and all the spectacular birds, tree frogs, monkeys and other creatures that inhabit this part of the world.

The quirky property located between Paunch and Bluff in Panama, just over three miles from Bocas Town. Despite being located in the jungle it is just a ten minute walk from the nearest beach.

The tree house is owned by Todd and Diane Sherman, who live on the same two-acre plot.

“What began as a simple dream in the mind of a young Canadian boy has today become a suspended work of art, hidden in the tropical jungle of Bocas Del Toro Panama,” said Diane, who is originally from the UK.

“My husband, like me, believes that dreams should become reality. So today, married for almost 18 years, we live in the jungle on a small island surrounded by nature, wildlife, tropical beauty and the Caribbean Sea.

“Todd’s Dream tree house transformed from a complex wooden model to a spectacular suspended 300 square foot home only three months ago.

“We have decided to share it with the world so that others can fulfill their own dream of sleeping in a tree house and experiencing all the adventure and wonder it brings.

“To be lulled to sleep with the constant sound of waves and chirping insects; to feel the gentle sway of the tree house when the wind blows; to awaken to sunrise over the ocean and warm golden sunlight filtering in through the trees. It’s simply magical!

“Of course, be prepared to be awoken early at times when the howler monkeys are hanging from nearby branches.”

The tree house can host two guests and comes with one bed, covered with mosquito net, and one toilet and sink with running water.

At the base of the tree house there is an outdoor shower under a larger tree while guests are welcome to use the cool natural fresh water dipping pool during the day and also when it is lit up at night time.

Guests can explore the property, the caves and walk the jungle trails behind the property.

“The tree house is completely eco sustainable using solar energy and rain water,” added Diane.

“It is mostly constructed with bamboo and wood from the jungle and palm leaves for the thatch roof.

“I handle the business side of renting the tree house. I love greeting new guests and ensuring that their stay is a wonderfully memorable one.

“My passion is for gardening and it has been an amazing journey of trial and error discovering the vast variety of beautiful plant life here in this tropical rainforest.

“I love the ongoing challenge of transferring our little piece of jungle into somewhat of a jungle garden paradise.”

The Jungle Treehouse by the Sea is available to rent at £85 per night and more information be found here.
