The Skye Eco Pod is located in Minginish on the beautiful Isle of Skye, famous for its rugged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages and medieval castles, it is connected to Scotland’s northwest coast by bridge.

Images from the exterior show the property’s simple yet sleek design whilst would be guests also get a glimpse of breath-taking views of the Cuillin Mountains in the distance which are visible from the outdoor decking area.

Photos inside reveal a very cosy and comfortable open plan living area where guests have the luxury of a 32-inch flat screen TV complete with full Sky package in addition to a DVD player and iPod dock.

Off the living area is the pod’s only bedroom which is home to a zip and link king-size bed that can be made into twin beds if required.

This unique property is of German design but built in the UK and is constructed from Scottish timber, using eco-friendly insulation. The pod also takes advantage of state-of-the-art eco technology in the form of an infra-red eco heating system, ensuring the pod efficiently uses clean energy.

The Skye Eco Pod is perfect for couples who have a taste for the outdoors and sits amidst a peaceful scattered crofting community.

The impressive mountain range is seen as the spiritual heartland of the island and Eagles are frequently seen in the area along with resident hares, red deer, otters and so much more.

The isle is also littered with superb countryside walks, with Talisker Bay, Glenbrittle Beach, Fairy Pools and aforementioned Cuillin Mountains all in close proximity.

Additionally, trips to the Trotternish Peninsula, where some of Skye’s most stunning scenery can be found and Armadale Castle and its beautiful gardens is also highly recommended.
